Good things always come in boxes: just ask any Matchbox collector! 😀 Good quality high-performance car parts are no exception, so wouldn’t you expect to see tons of such boxes at a racing track, especially at the inspection station and in pit row where competing cars are being worked on constantly?

Lately, I’ve been finding some really cool 1:64 diorama pieces on Etsy; stuff I don’t see anywhere else. That’s where I got this extremely cool little two-pack of tiny miniature boxes covered with the names and logos of parts manufacturers that all us gearheads know and love, like Eibach, K&N, BBS, Momo, and the like. They’re weren’t too cheap, but there were several packages to choose from and I opted for the largest most expensive option, and they were imported all the way from Thailand, so the shipping was included in the price.

Once these arrived, I was very pleased: normally things like this have to be assembled by the modeler, which, at this scale, would have been very difficult. Not here: these came full assembled and ready to use: just open the package, and place where you want! What a deal!

So far, I’ve only opened one of the two packages: I’m saving the other one for…something, not sure what, I’m sure I’ll find a use for it; but one package had more than enough contents for me to distribute around to several places in the inspection station area, pit row, and even in the paddock where all the activity is going on to get cars ready for the track, or to tune or make minor repairs between races. Take a look at these photos, and be amazed at how a detail so small really lights up the diorama!

Ah, the action! The Excitement! The Drama! Its’ race day, race fans! Grab yourself a hot dog and a beer at the concessions stand and take a seat in one of those big grandstand seats: the action never stops here at DRAG CITY!

Wow, I can’t get over how much this adds to your diorama! Those small details have made a huge difference and really add to the realism. I love this and great find!
