Halleujah, we’ve made it to inauguration day without the start of WW III! Thus we say goodbye to Joe Biden…THE WORST PRESIDENT OF MY LIFETIME!

And to put that in perpective: I was born when Nixon was in the White House!

It seems like at least a couple of people who read this blog have gotten the impression that your humble blogger is some sort of strident Right-Winger. That’s not the case at all; I’ve always considered myself very centrist and often liberal-leaning, at least in a live-and-let-live sort of way. I’m not a reactionary. I’m not a Republican. And if I’m now considered a “conservative” – a term I do not use to describe myself – that’s only because it seems like much of the rest of the world has moved so far to the left that its off the map, while I’ve mostly stood still.

I was also not an enthusiastic supporter of Donald Trump, following the COVID lockdowns. I was planning to vote for RFK Jr this election cycle. I’ve always had my reservations about Trump, and I agree with many people that his public demeanor and persona are often appalling. Believe me, no one is more surprised than me that he’s back in the White House: I would not have thought that even possible. And yet, you can bet I’m one of the tens of millions of Americans who feels like I can finally exhale, because no number of inappropriate remarks or “mean tweets” can compare with what we have just lived through over the past 4 years!

I’m not going to go on for pages-for hours-relitigating the lies, the open border, the rampant inflation, the explosive increase in crime, the global conflict, the destructive obsession with race, the insanity of the “gender ideology,” and the promotion of incompetence in every aspect of government, all from an administration helmed by a man who was clearly cognitively unfit for the office when he was elected. I could, but I won’t. And I’m not even going to rant again about the war on cars and fossil fuels, things that I consider essentially a personal attack! What I find most unconscionable about everything that’s happened under this exiting administration is the CENSORSHIP: watching the most unamerican practice I’ve ever experienced become the norm! With their newly minted term “Misinformation,” our government, locked and loaded and with the corporate media in-tow, attempted to silence anyone that questioned their narrative!

Democracy hasn’t “died in darkness,” Washington Compost! The majority of people who cited “democracy” as an issue voted for Trump! This is because the left cannot concede that they were the ones trying to suppress the speech of their opponents and they were the ones that were putting their opponents in jail. They were the ones raiding the home of the opposing former president with guns drawn. So, who ended up looking “authoritarian” in the end?

Since a principal focus of this blog is nostalgia for the era I grew up in, I present here what I consider the most interesting post-election analysis I’ve yet seen, because it focuses in particular on the generational aspects of who voted for whom…not to mention its quite funny. Some very interesting stats here along with some pithy comments from a couple of left-leaning populist podcasters who, admittedly, I often disagree with…but not this time:
America sees Joe Biden now for who he is: a one-term failure who sold out his country, an insufferable blowhard whose only claim to fame was that he did more damage than any of his predecessors So GTFO, Quid Pro Joe, and take your drug-addled pederast criminal offspring with you! Your legacy is going to be the unfortunate interruption of the truly historic presidency of the man you tried to destroy!

That’s all I’m going to say on this topic. Will things be better going forward? Hard to say! Trump is no Jesus-figure, IMHO, and the damage that’s been done is so severe that it’s not realistic to think one sane administration can fix it all. What I know, though, is that Trump was president once before, and-at least up until the start of the “scamdemic”- I remember things being quite good when he was; and with RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and several of his other appointees, I’ll take my chances!

And so, to paraphrase this tool of the corporate media from election day of 2020…
…its now my turn to say:
OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS OVER!
