What warped cork? I don’t see any warped cork here!
And no sooner do I post speculating about tearing up the entire track and everything inside it to redo it from scratch just because (using the warped cork as an excuse), than I spend a few evenings adding to the layout! Is your blogger a schizo, or wut??
But hey, MORE and FASTER, right?! I mean, it is a racetrack, after all! So here’s a few recent additions to Drag City and its environs around town!
AT THE TRACK…
OH MY!!!BrosA thick, happy couple stands by the track in front of the tow vehicle for one of the food carts… in the shade of a palm tree which suddenly appeared as if by magic! Those clever botanists! Must be some new fangled fertilizer.LEFT: An excited spectator can’t wait to get up the stairs to the gantry overlooking the chicane … RIGHT: Another determined shutterbug risks his life standing at a turninches from the action to get that perfect shot!LEFT: Greaser cheers on a Chevelle near the Mooneyes kiosk … RIGHT: In between heats, our friend “Stumpy” moseys over to check out the wares
AROUND TOWN…
LEFT: Hottie at the Farmacia…now, why does it seem like she should be driving a nicer car than that beat up VW fastback? … RIGHT: A young gentleman from a “good family” stops in at the Outlaw Garage to talk to the restoration technician about the progress on his father’s Ferrari 250LMSo who remembers the strange-and strangely cool-Dodge Rampage compact pickup?Well, here’s one now, cruising along with traffic bound inland for the rec areas carrying that staple of early 1980’s outdoor fun, the Honda 3-wheeler!
So now I either have more excitement than ever, or more to move if I decide to do a teardown and rebuild! Stay tuned, race fans…y’all know the excitement never stops at Drag City!

I remember those little trucks! I can’t believe they made a model of it, though never a fan myself, I think it’s cool they did. I didn’t have any trouble with my cord but I don’t think your crazy! Part of the fun is the development of things there at Drag City! The peeps really add a lot and it’s amazing all the types and poses you have found. We’ve all seen these types at races! Very realistic!
