MOAR POWER!!!

I guess it doesn’t speak too well of my intellect that it took me so long to figure out something so simple but, we’ll file this under “better late than never.” As a by-product of the recent timer experiments, I have finally decided to do something I should have done from day one, and power each lane of my track individually with its own dedicated terminal and power pack.

This will not only provide more consistent power when racing each lane against the clock, but will make a huge difference when racing a car against a competitor where both lanes are powered at once. With the recent relaxing of the panic-demic lockdowns and my own recent vaccination, I hope that the days of racing alone all the time will soon be in the rear-view mirror, but there’s always going to be those weeknights when I want to run a tournament against the clock; honestly, I’ve been racing alone for so long its started to feel normal, and with a track timer, it’s not only possible, but it’s downright fun!

Regardless, its nice to have more power, because more power is ALWAYS good!

  1. More power is always a good thing and I know that will only add to the consistency and performance. I need to do the something similar with my train tracks as the engines loose power the farther away from the track they are.
